The Chavez Titans won the last time they faced the Bear Creek Bruins, and things went their way on Monday too. Chavez managed a 36-32 victory over Bear Creek.
Chavez's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alondra Romero, who scored 20 points along with two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Romero has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Amora Hendon, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Chavez's win bumped their record up to 8-14. As for Bear Creek, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chavez won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Linden at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd.
