Two dominant signal callers in Graylyn Fry and Grayson Calloway are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Panther Creek Panthers will head out to challenge the Community Braves at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Panther Creek's defense has only allowed 12.8 points per game this season, so Community's offense will have their work cut out for them.
Panther Creek barely beat Paris the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers blew past the Wildcats 51-12 on Friday. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by 39 points or more this season.

Panther Creek got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jalen Lott out in front who picked up 167 receiving yards and three TDs. That's the most receiving yards Lott has posted since back in October of 2024. Tristin Schramm was another key signal caller, throwing for 285 yards and four touchdowns.
Panther Creek's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB five times. Paris' QB won't forget Ashton Meldrum anytime soon given he sacked him three times. Meldrum also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 16.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 45 points the game before, Community was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They were dealt a 56-8 defeat at the hands of Lake Dallas. The Braves were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-8.
Panther Creek's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 6.0 points on average over those games. As for Community, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
Friday's game might be decided in the trenches. Panther Creek has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 158.8 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Community, though, as they've been averaging only 75.8 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
Everything came up roses for Panther Creek against Community when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 66-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
