Softball Recap: Lutheran South Extends Winning Streak to Three

Lutheran South had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with an 8-3 win over the Webster Groves Statesmen. That's two games straight that the Lancers have won by exactly five runs.

Lutheran South's victory bumped their record up to 6-7-1. As for Webster Groves, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Lutheran South and Webster Groves will both be playing Windsor the next time they take the field. The Statesmen will head out to face the Owls at 8:15 p.m. on Friday, while the Lancers will host them at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
