The Jurupa Hills Spartans will head out on the road to square off against the Rialto Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Jurupa Hills has struggled recently with 12 losses in a row, while Rialto will arrive with three straight wins.
Jurupa Hills suffered their biggest loss since November 28, 2023 on Thursday. Their rough 58-35 loss to Fontana might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Jurupa Hills can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1235th, while Fontana is ranked 327th).
Meanwhile, Rialto beat King/Drew 53-42 on Saturday.
Carrington Davis continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 28 points and 18 rebounds. Davis is absolutely dominating the point category: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Destiny Rabino, who scored 15 points.
Jurupa Hills' defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-11. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.6 points per game. As for Rialto, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record this season.
Jurupa Hills took a serious blow against Rialto in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 56-28. Thankfully for Jurupa Hills, Khamiyah Anderson (who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
