The Hollywood Sheiks are taking a road trip to take on the Roybal Titans at 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Hollywood has given up an average of 8.2 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Hollywood fell victim to Sherman Oaks CES and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 12-0 to the Knights. The Sheiks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hollywood saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Angel Marrufo, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base. Marrufo is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Roybal and Robert F. Kennedy Community meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. The Titans were the clear victors by an 18-1 margin over the Bobcats. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won five contests by 11 runs or more so far this season.
Roybal got a massive performance out of Jayden Garcia, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. Garcia is becoming a predictor of the Titans' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 5-1 (and 1-5 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Angel Zamora, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.
Roybal always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .610. The last time their OBP was this high was back in February.
The win got Roybal back to even at 6-6. As for Hollywood, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Hollywood has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Roybal struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Everything went Hollywood's way against Roybal in their previous meeting back in March, as Hollywood made off with a 12-4 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Sheiks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
