Gridley entered their tilt with Orland on Friday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Trojans. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 on Tuesday.

Gridley saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Yost, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Tanner Abbott was another, going 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Gridley pushed their record up to 17-8 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Orland, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-13 record this season.
