The Susquehannock Warriors lost against the Northeastern Bobcats back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Susquehannock received a tough blow as they fell 53-35 to Northeastern. Susquehannock has struggled against Northeastern recently, as their game on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Susquehannock lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Georgie Snyder, who scored 12 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Elena Snyder, who scored four points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
Northeastern's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mikayla Coleman led the charge by scoring ten points along with six rebounds and five assists. Emma Bush was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds.
Susquehannock dropped their record down to 9-11 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Northeastern, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Susquehannock will take on York Suburban at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. York Suburban will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Susquehannock surely won't give up without a fight. As for Northeastern, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Lower Dauphin at 7:30 p.m. on January 31st. Lower Dauphin will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 493rd, while Northeastern is ranked 63rd).
