Hope had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They blew past the North Smithfield Northmen 12-2. Considering the Blue Wave have won five games by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Hope pushed their record up to 9-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for North Smithfield, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

Hope will be playing at home against Paul Cuffee at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for North Smithfield, they will head out to face off against Woonsocket at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Villa Novans' pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so the Northmen's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
