Most of the country's top-rated quarterbacks will be at Nike Headquarters July 5-10 in Beaverton, Ore.It's called the Elite 11, the most renowned high school quarterback camp in the country for almost two decades.
On Sunday, the 12 finalists who will participate in the finals at The Opening (July 5-10) in Beaverton, Ore., were announced.
Super Bowl champion quarterback and head coach of the camp Trent Dilfer told reporters "Most of these guys have a chance to be exceptional at the next level and the next level beyond that."
Here they are, in alphabetical order:
Myles Brennan - St. Stanislaus (Bay St. Louis, Miss.)Size: 6-3, 180
College commitment: LSU

Brennan has thrown for a ridiculous 11,045 yards in two seasons at St. Stanislaus and 117 touchdowns. He's completed 712 of 1,068 passes and has thrown 22 interceptions. He was one of three quarterbacks who was even better in person, according to Dilfer, than on tape.
Sean Clifford - St. Xavier (Cincinnati)Size: 6-2, 210
College commitment: Penn State

In 16 games, Clifford has completed 169 of 286 for 1,940 yards and 18 touchdowns for one of Ohio's premier programs. Dilfer described him as "steady and smooth."

The elusive and swift Martell has thrown for 5,145 yards, 72 touchdowns and just eight interceptions in two seasons at Gorman, leading the Gaels to a 30-0 record and a mythical national title. He also rushed for 14 touchdowns last season. "He's a baller," Dilfer said. "He's all in."
Dylan McCaffrey - Valor Christian (Highlands Ranch, Colo.)Size: 6-5, 203

The second-youngest of the talented McCaffrey family, Dylan completed 207 of 320 passes last year for 2,800 yards, 27 touchdowns and just four interceptions. He led Valor Christian to a state title also with his legs, rushing for 13 touchdowns. He might have the highest ceiling of all the quarterbacks, according to Dilfer.
Davis Mills - Greater Atlanta Christian (Norcross, Ga.)Size: 6-3, 192

Mills not only threw for 2,821 yards and 25 touchdowns last season, but he rushed for 14 scores as well. He completed 169 of 282 passes. He and McCaffrey will be going head-to-head in a game Sept. 9 in Colorado.

Dilfer said if NFL scouts were allowed to watch, they would target Sears immediately. The dual-threat quarterback completed 193 of 270 passes last year for 2,697 yards and 37 touchdowns and just two interceptions. He also rushed for 862 yards and nine scores.
Tua Tagovailoa - St. Louis (Honolulu)Size: 6-1, 215

Tagovailoa has had quite a two-year run, not only rushing for 1,057 yards and 11 scores, but completing 350 of 537 passes for 5,515 yards and 57 touchdowns and just 10 interceptions.
