The Halifax Wildcats won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 48-19 loss at the hands of Greenwood. Halifax has not had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Halifax lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ava Savage, who scored four points along with ten rebounds.
It was another big night for Bekah Brinser, who scored 17 points along with five steals for Greenwood. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Brinser has scored all season. Sophia Jezewski was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Halifax's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Greenwood, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.
Halifax will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Trojans at 7:30 p.m. Upper Dauphin Area is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games. As for Greenwood, they will head out on the road to take on the Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
