The Oxford Hornets lost against the Bayard Rustin Golden Knights back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Oxford fell to Bayard Rustin 47-43. Oxford has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Bayard Rustin's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sara Betchyk, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. Betchyk hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for ten straight games. Another player making a difference was Riley Stackhouse, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Oxford's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Bayard Rustin, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-3.
Oxford will head out on the road to take on Avon Grove at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bayard Rustin, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Unionville at 6:45 p.m. Unionville is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
