The Lynwood Knights won against the Skyline Raiders on Friday with 55 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. Lynwood came out on top against Skyline by a score of 55-48. The win made it back-to-back wins for Lynwood.
It was another big night for Taliyah Mcferson, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Lynwood's points. Kimiko Kennedy was another key contributor, scoring five points along with seven rebounds.
Despite the loss, Skyline still got an impressive performance from Lily Brown, who scored 20 points along with three steals. Brown hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendra Douglas, who scored three points.
Lynwood's win bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Skyline, their loss dropped their record down to 12-11.
Lynwood is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Warren at 5:30 p.m. on January 3rd. Warren will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 419th, while Lynwood is ranked 81st). As for Skyline, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mansfield Legacy at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mansfield Legacy is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
