For Elizabeth's part,  Aurelia Espinoza made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She  tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Espinoza has been consistent for a while: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in 15 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with one  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI.
 In other batting news, Elizabeth let  Faith Carlson and  Jessie VanAernam run wild. Carlson  got on base  in all three of her plate appearances with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double, while  VanAernam  went a perfect 1-for-1 with three  RBI, one  triple,  and one  run. That's the most  RBI  VanAernam has posted since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of  Allie Dey, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI.
While Widefield had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
