Davis Sr. extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 20 on Wednesday, dropping them down to 0-18. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jesuit Marauders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Marauders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-0 on Tuesday.

Jack Kenner was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, Alexander Thompson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was William Donald, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
As for Jesuit, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-8. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games.
On Jesuit's side, Tyler Haddad tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits.
On the hitting side, Jesuit let Sammy Kane and Jordan Walczykowski run wild. Kane went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double, while Walczykowski went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That's the most RBI Kane has posted since back in May of 2025. Jonah Glover was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs.
While Davis Sr. had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
