If the Raymond Central Mustangs were feeling good off their 62-27 takedown of the Louisville Lions last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Raymond Central took a 53-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fort Calhoun on Friday. Raymond Central was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Fort Calhoun apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played two weeks ago.
Fort Calhoun found their leader in underclassman Raeann Massey, who scored 21 points along with eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Massey has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Bria Bench, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Raymond Central's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-9. As for Fort Calhoun, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.
Raymond Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Fort Calhoun also has no future games currently scheduled.
