The Oley Valley Lynx had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They took down Upper Perkiomen 44-26 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Oley Valley also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Several Indians players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Erin States, who scored 11 points. States scored a full 42.3% of Upper Perkiomen's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Carly Heiser, who scored 8 points.
Oley Valley's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Upper Perkiomen, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Oley Valley will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Brandywine Heights Area at 7:00 p.m. on December 18th. As for Upper Perkiomen, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Kutztown at 11:00 a.m.
