Jenkins County's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 6-3 win over the Portal Panthers. This was a revenge game for the War Eagles: when they faced off against the Panthers last Tuesday, they had to take a 5-4 loss.

The team relied heavily on Chandler Cates, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Jenkins County moved to 5-14 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Portal, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 9-9 record.
