The Buford Yellowjackets''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. The matchup between Buford and Cheraw wasn't particularly close, with Buford falling 25-7. Buford was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Cheraw apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Cheraw can attribute much of their success to Cam Mcclendon, who rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries.
Buford's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 1-8. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 10.3 points per game. As for Cheraw, the win was the third in a row for they, bringing their record for this year to 4-5.
Buford will head out on the road to face off against Andrew Jackson at 7:30 p.m. on October 27th. Andrew Jackson has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 145 points over their last three matchups. As for Cheraw, they will look to defend their home field on October 27th against Chesterfield at 7:30 p.m.
