The CORE Butte Lynx were the 25-21 winner over the Los Molinos Bulldogs when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. CORE Butte fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 38-35. CORE Butte's defeat continues an unfortunate trend for the squad, making it three in a row.
Natalie Martinez was a one-man wrecking crew for Los Molinos as she scored 22 points. Mckenna Michelle was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
CORE Butte's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Los Molinos, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-16.
CORE Butte will be playing at home against the Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Los Molinos, they and the Wolverines will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
