If Northern Cambria wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Conemaugh Valley, they should've done a better job of containing Gwen Masser. The Conemaugh Valley Blue Jays narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Northern Cambria Colts 52-49 thanks in part to Masser, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 8.3 rebounds per game.

The team also got some help courtesy of Madison McCleester, who posted 12 points. That's the most points she has posted since back in January of 2024.

Conemaugh Valley's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 2-9. As for Northern Cambria, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Conemaugh Valley will challenge Marion Center at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Northern Cambria, they will take on Homer-Center at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
