The Port of Los Angeles Polar Bears will square off against the King/Drew Golden Eagles at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Port of Los Angeles 2.4, King/Drew 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Port of Los Angeles is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Dorsey get on the board and left with a 27-0 win on Monday. The Polar Bears haven't had any issues with the Dons recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Joaquin Guerrero and Robert Reveles made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Guerrero pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Reveles pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Guerrero also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Port of Los Angeles is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-5 otherwise. At the plate, Guerrero scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3, while Reveles scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. The dominant performance also gave Guerrero a new career-high in doubles (two).
In other batting news, Damian Ochoa was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jonathan Rosette, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple.
Port of Los Angeles always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .791. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, King/Drew waltzed into their contest on Monday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came out on top against the Pathfinders by a score of 5-0.
Danilo Meade made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.
Meade wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Elijah Lugo, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI.
King/Drew's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Port of Los Angeles, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Port of Los Angeles has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like King/Drew struggles in that department as they've been averaging 10.7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one. Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
