It was a good run, but the West Vikings unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a serious blow against Tehachapi, falling 71-19. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points West has scored all season.
Tehachapi's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Koree Rodden led the charge by scoring 18 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rodden has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jamie Neaderbaomer, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
West's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-7. As for Tehachapi, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season.
West will face off against Yucca Valley at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Tehachapi, they will head out on the road to take on East Bakersfield at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. East Bakersfield will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
