Trinity Christian had a senior duo take command as Janiah McBryde shot 76% from the field on her way to 29 points and seven steals and Naomi Williams dropped a double-double with 23 points and 17 boards. Williams is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last five games she's played dating back to last season. Nailah Smith was another key player, putting up eight points and ten boards.
Trinity Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 27 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cape Fear Christian Academy only pulled down seven.
Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely The Burlington School's strategy against Chatham Central on Tuesday. The Spartans were the clear victors by a 65-43 margin over the Bears. The Spartans pushed the score to 49-29 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bears had little chance of recovering from.
