Tytan Mason Delivers Electric Effort Vs Cedar
Starting off the list is Desert Hills's Tytan Mason, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Mason rushed for 188 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.4 yards per carry, and also picked up 78 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Mason is crushing it when it comes to rushing touchdowns: he's punched in at least two every time he's taken the field this season.
Cedar had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Mason it was a similar story. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Mason saw the Reds), he rushed for 276 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.2 yards per carry.

Ran Sawyer's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Dixie over Crimson Cliffs
Dixie was sadly handed a defeat on Wednesday, but Ran Sawyer did his best to prevent it. Sawyer turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 258 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.9 yards per carry.
If the past is any indication, Sawyer could be in store for another big game when he takes on Pine View on Friday. When Sawyer last faced the Panthers back in September, he rushed for 201 yards and two touchdowns.

Dylyn Gabriel Delivers Best Effort of Season
Hurricane was led to victory by Dylyn Gabriel, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Wednesday. Gabriel threw for 207 yards and three touchdowns on only ten passes, and also rushed for 64 yards.
This season, Gabriel has thrown 17 touchdowns while averaging 116.1 passing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had eight passing touchdowns.

(Fath) Mcroberts Came Up Big in Hurricane's 32-28 Victory
Another Hurricane player making an appearance on this list is Austyn (Fath) Mcroberts. He picked up 151 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 45 yards. He didn't just play on offense: he also made four total tackles and defended a pass in addition to snagging an interception which he returned one-yard for a touchdown.
This season, (Fath) Mcroberts has caught 8 touchdowns while averaging 67.9 receiving yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after ten games last season, he was only averaging 16.4 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 49.8 rushing yards.

Malakai Alofipo Crosses Big Stat Threshold
On Wednesday, Crimson Cliffs got the W thanks in part to Malakai Alofipo playing the best football he has all season. Alofipo picked up 151 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He's now once again averaging 100+ receiving yards (100.1) per game. His receiving production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 110 receiving yards.
Alofipo might have his next game, a home matchup with Snow Canyon, circled on his calendar. Alofipo picked up 149 receiving yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Warriors duked it out back in September.
