For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Crescenta Valley and Mater Dei Catholic meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Saturday. Crescenta Valley came out on top against Mater Dei Catholic by a score of 10-5. The win continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Crusaders: they've now won four in a row.

Crescenta Valley let Chris Torres and Mike Herman run wild. Torres scored two runs while going 3-for-3, while Herman got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. The dominant performance also gave Torres a new career-high in RBI (three). Jimmy Spears was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

Crescenta Valley's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2.
