There's no place like home for the Vallejo Redhawks, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They came out on top against Albany by a score of 42-35 on Tuesday. For Vallejo, this counts as revenge for the 44-40 loss Albany walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.
Jazmine Cardwell was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 15 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last six times she's played. Veekie Head was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds and four blocks.
Vallejo pushed their record up to 7-12 with that win, which was their third straight at home. As for Albany, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vallejo will take on Hercules at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hercules comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Albany, they will be playing at home against Bethel at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
