Mildred came into Saturday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 60-58 win over the Big Sandy Wildcats on Saturday. With that victory, the Eagles brought their scoring average up to 50.3 points per game.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mildred to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brennan Moore, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 17 rebounds. Paxton Southard was another key player, going 6 of 13 on his way to 14 points.

Mildred smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Mildred's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Big Sandy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mildred will venture away from home to face off against Edgewood at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Mildred is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.3 points per game this season. As for Big Sandy, they will head out to square off against Ore City at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Big Sandy is facing Ore City at the right time seeing as Ore City is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
