After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Falcon, Sand Creek was happy to have turned things around  on Saturday. They blew past the Florence Huskies 12-2. With that  win, the Scorpions brought their scoring average up to 6.2  runs per game.
 Abigail Knapp made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with two  runs and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Jaida Moody and  Lyla Almeida did most of the damage at the plate:  Moody  went 2-for-4 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and one  double, while  Almeida  went 4-for-5 with four  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI. That's the most  RBI  Moody has posted since back in August. Another player making a difference was  Charlotte Bolin, who  went 1-for-2 with two  runs and two  RBI.
 Sand Creek  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 14  hits. That's the most  hits they've managed all season.
The  victory snapped Sand Creek's losing streak at three games  and leaves them with a 4-14 record. As for Florence, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.
Sand Creek will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Huskies: the pair will be back at it again later today.
