The Milwaukee Reagan Huskies will take on the Milwaukee King Generals at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Tuesday, Milwaukee Reagan got the win against Milwaukee Bradley Tech by a conclusive 21-3.
Jaden Martinez Grady made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Kevin Wright and Brandon Silva-Tripoli did most of the damage at the plate: Wright went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple, while Silva-Tripoli went 1-for-2 with four stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases Wright has posted since back in April of 2025. Micah Brown was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and three runs.
Milwaukee Reagan hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Milwaukee Bradley Tech struck out 11 times.
Meanwhile, Milwaukee King waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Wildcats get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory.
Like Milwaukee Reagan, Milwaukee King also got a great game from a two-way player: Zach Parry. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Parry also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Milwaukee King is 4-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-7 otherwise. Parry was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three doubles.
In other batting news, Evan Kress was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. Another player making a difference was Gerik Gutowski, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.
Milwaukee King's win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Milwaukee Reagan, their victory bumped their record up to 13-5.
Thursday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Milwaukee Reagan has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .447. However, it's not like Milwaukee King struggles in that department as they've averaged .438. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Milwaukee Reagan was able to grind out a solid win over Milwaukee King in their previous matchup back in April, winning 5-0. Do the Huskies have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Generals turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
