Wiley had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They really took it to the Hi-Plains Patriots for the full four quarters, racking up a 67-31 victory. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won five in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wiley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Luke Rohlman, who went 5-for-7 to rack up 12 points in addition to six rebounds and six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Grant Mauch, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine boards.

Hi-Plains is on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coming up, Wiley is taking a road trip to square off against Springfield at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give the Panthers their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Hi-Plains, they will venture away from home to challenge Kiowa at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
