The Woodside Wildcats will face off against the Lowell Cardinals at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Woodside is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.
On Thursday, Woodside earned an 8-3 victory over Aragon. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Joseph Hohl spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on seven hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Mateus Mokhtarani, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Trent Amoroso, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.
Woodside was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Lowell came out on top against Balboa on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive ten-run fifth inning. The Cardinals put the hurt on the Buccaneers with a sharp 14-1 win. The Cardinals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.
Reggie Fong was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted over his last 11 matches. The team also got some help courtesy of Jhomar Ronquillo, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Lowell has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Woodside, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Both Woodside and Lowell just can't seem to miss. The Wildcats have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10 hits per game. However, it's not like Lowell struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Woodside was able to grind out a solid win over Lowell when the teams last played back in March of 2024, winning 8-3. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Cardinals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
