Central has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Clearfield Bison at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Monday, Central ended up a good deal behind Bellwood-Antis and lost 62-45.
Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Clearfield's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell 55-48 to DuBois Central Catholic.
Central now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Clearfield, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-6.
Central strolled past Clearfield in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a score of 57-43. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Clearfield's Cayleigh Walker, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Now that she's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Central still be able to contain him? There's only one way to find out.
