Football Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Christ Prep Academy

Christ Prep Academy proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by 41) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Penney Hornets, sneaking past 16-13. The victory was just business as usual for the Patriots, who after three games remain undefeated this season.

Among those leading the charge was Justice Criniere, who rushed for 120 yards and one TD, and also threw for 53 yards and one touchdown. Those 120 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Christ Prep Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Penney, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Christ Prep Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Parsons at 3:30 p.m. on the 20th. As for Penney, they will head out to take on West Platte at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Hornets their first taste of in-conference action this season.
