Over
50 percent of the Top 100 recruits from the Class of 2019 come from four
different states — California, Georgia, Florida and Texas.
Fifty-eight
players are represented from that quartet of states, including a high of 17 from both the Golden
and Lone Star states. The Sunshine State has the third most
with 13 and the Peach State has 11.
In
total, 23 different states are represented with 14 having multiple
players. Mississippi and Alabama are the only two states outside of the
big four to have at least five. Louisiana claims four, Maryland,
Michigan and Ohio all have three. Arizona, North Carolina, New
Jersey, and Virginia have two each.
Hawaii,
Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, New York, Oklahoma, South
Carolina, and West Virginia have one player featured in the Top 100 on
247sports player composite rankings.
There
are 34 5-star players from the Class of 2019 and Georgia has
the most with seven. Texas claims the second spot with six, while
Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi all have three each. California and
Louisiana each have two while eight other states (Arizona, Michigan, New
Jersey, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia)
have one.
