Cate is 2-7 against Foothill Tech since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Tuesday, Cate came up short against Bishop Diego and fell 50-39. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Cate in their matchups with Bishop Diego: they've now lost five in a row.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Foothill Tech's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 43-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of St. Bonaventure.
Cate has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Foothill Tech, they dropped their record down to 8-11 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Cate came up short against Foothill Tech in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 31-18. Can Cate avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
