Chestnut Ridge lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on on Wednesday was a bit more commanding. They were beaten by Bishop McCort 66-28. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Chestnut Ridge has suffered against Bishop McCort since December 18, 2019.
Despite the loss, Chestnut Ridge had strong showings from Isabella Hillegass, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and two steals, and Ashlie Weaver, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds. Hillegass has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played.
Meanwhile, Philipsburg-Osceola's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fifth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Central, falling 59-23. Philipsburg-Osceola has struggled against Central recently, as their contest on Monday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Chestnut Ridge has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Philipsburg-Osceola, they bumped their record down to 1-11 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
