Como Park is 1-7 against Fridley since April of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. Como Park came out on top against Harding on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive nine-run third inning. The Cougars put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 16-5 win. With that victory, the Cougars brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.

Mitchell Pelzer made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed five innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Pelzer was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Como Park's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-1 (and 2-8 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Vance Ethen was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Joseph Thomas, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
Como Park was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .321 or higher in four consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Fridley beat Edison 7-2 on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Tommies: they've now won five in a row.
Como Park's victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Fridley, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 4-7.
