Basketball Game Preview: Diamond Ranch Panthers vs. Chino Cowboys

Diamond Ranch is 2-8 against Chino since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Diamond Ranch Panthers will look to defend their home court against the Chino Cowboys at 4:30 p.m. Diamond Ranch will be strutting in after a victory while Chino will be coming in after a loss.

Diamond Ranch will head into Tuesday's contest on the come-up: they were handed a heart-breaking two-point defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Costa Mesa on Tuesday. Everything went Diamond Ranch's way against Costa Mesa as Diamond Ranch made off with a 43-20 win. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 303rd, while the Mustangs are ranked 894th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Among those leading the charge was Jazlyn Wint, who posted 13 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordyn Seales, who put up eight points.

Diamond Ranch smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in six consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Chino lost to Ayala on the road by a 52-38 margin on Tuesday.

Diamond Ranch has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.7 points per game. As for Chino, their loss ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 10-4.
