Basketball Recap: Silver Valley Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Silver Valley had won seven straight home games dating back to last season and Naomi Durrah did her part to make it eight on Tuesday. The Silver Valley Trojans blew past Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy 57-18 thanks in part to Durrah, who dropped a double-double on 39 points and 11 steals. The match was her 12th in a row with at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Aubrey White, who posted two points in addition to nine rebounds and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played.

Several Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Michelle Otuonye, who had four points along with 12 boards and four steals.

Silver Valley's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.

Silver Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 47-27 defeat against Hesperia Christian on the 10th. As for Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 31-30 loss against Riverside Prep on the 10th.
