Jadin Arrington Delivers Best Effort of Season
Sadly, Jadin Arrington posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead CenTex HomeSchool over Grace Academy on Friday. Arrington rushed for 197 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.3 yards per carry, and also picked up 65 receiving yards and two touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 59 yards.
CenTex HomeSchool is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5. Arrington and CenTex HomeSchool will head out on the road to take on Hill Country K at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Korbin Schmidt Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Korbin Schmidt produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Lubbock T to the win on Saturday. Schmidt rushed for 230 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.5 yards per carry, and also threw for 138 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 passes. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (118). He didn't just play on offense: he also made six total tackles (2.0 for loss) and defended a pass.
Stephenville FAITH had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Schmidt it was a similar story. When Schmidt last faced the Knights back in October of 2023, he rushed for 80 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, and also caught a touchdown.

Kalin Love posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He made ten total tackles and defended three passes. He was no stranger to the big play, connecting on a big catch that went for 60 yards.
For the season, Love has averaged 7 total tackles per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had one rushing touchdown. This year he is already up to two.

Sam Tarrant Turns in Season-Best Effort
King's Academy was led to victory by Sam Tarrant, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Tarrant rushed for 161 yards and four touchdowns on only five carries, and also threw for 94 yards and two touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
The victory for King's Academy keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. Tarrant and King's Academy will head out to square off against Founders Classical Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
