The Calaveras Red Hawks won the last time they faced the Argonaut Mustangs, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Calaveras walked away with a 41-30 win over Argonaut. The win made it back-to-back wins for Calaveras.
Izzy Tapia continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds. Tapia is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Emma Clark was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds.
Calaveras has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for Argonaut, they now have a losing record at 8-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Calaveras won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Liberty Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on January 10th. Liberty Ranch will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. As for Argonaut, they will head out on the road to face off against Sonora at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Sonora is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
