Tesoro suffered their biggest loss since December 26, 2023 on Thursday. They took a serious blow against San Clemente, falling 73-22. While losing is never fun, Tesoro can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 876th, while San Clemente is ranked 71st).
San Juan Hills is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 14-9 record this season. As for Tesoro, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-20.
Everything came up roses for San Juan Hills against Tesoro when the teams last played two weeks ago as the team secured a 73-32 win. With San Juan Hills ahead 46-15 at the half, the match was all but over already.
