The Marshall Barristers had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took down Bravo 46-32 on Friday. The win was just what Marshall needed coming off of a 61-28 loss in their prior matchup.
Jeda Taylor continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Taylor is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Alicia Quintanar, who scored seven points along with 12 rebounds and two steals.
Marshall's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Bravo, their loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 8-11.
Marshall will square off against San Marino at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bravo, they will head out on the road to challenge Lincoln at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Lincoln is ranked 721st, while Bravo is ranked 732nd).
