Softball Recap: Elkhorn North Wins Going Away Against Omaha South

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Elkhorn North). Everything went their way against the Omaha South Packers on Saturday as they made off with a 16-1 win. Fans of the Wolves have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Addi Schneider was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those RBI were her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Reese Pearson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two RBI, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Elkhorn North kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 12 hits every time they've taken the field this season.

Elkhorn North's record is now 4-0. As for Omaha South, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Elkhorn North has already played their next game, a 9-0 defeat against Gretna East on the 26th. As for Omaha South, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, an 11-1 loss against Gross Catholic on the 26th.
