The Montebello Oilers will challenge the Marshall Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Montebello's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Marshall's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Montebello's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They came out on top against Schurr by a score of 3-0. Surprisingly, this marked the Oilers' third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Ben Richards and Brady Arellano dominated on the mound. Richards tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits, while Arellano tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Richards has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Fernando Cruz, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. Another player making a difference was Ernie Chavez, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Meanwhile, Marshall came tearing into Friday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 5-0 win over the Panthers.
The result came thanks to Michael Gerst's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up 11 Ks.
On the hitting side, Nate Callaway was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Sandro DiClaudio, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.
Marshall pushed their record up to 14-3-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. As for Montebello, their record now sits at 14-6.
Both Montebello and Marshall just can't seem to miss. The Oilers have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.7 hits per game. However, it's not like Marshall struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.1 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Montebello came out on top in a nail-biter against Marshall in their previous matchup back in May of 2023, sneaking past 5-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Oilers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
