Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Nebraska Lutheran, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in December of 2024. They pulled ahead with a 41-40 photo finish over Osceola on Tuesday.
Bruning-Davenport/Shickley better keep an eye on Rebecca Hueske. She was instrumental in Nebraska Lutheran's win, putting up nine points and seven steals. Hueske is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Ann Prigge, who had seven points.
Bruning-Davenport/Shickley's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-6. As for Nebraska Lutheran, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Bruning-Davenport/Shickley has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 28.2 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Nebraska Lutheran struggles in that department as they've been averaging 31.2 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
