There's no place like home for the Richton Rebels, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They walked away with a 43-35 victory over Collins on Tuesday. For Richton, this counts as revenge for the 39-30 loss Collins walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2019.
Richton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Caedence Amos, who scored seven points along with 11 rebounds. Dherria Barlow was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Richton's victory bumped their record up to 10-16. As for Collins, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-16.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Richton will square off against North Forrest at 11:47 a.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Mississippi (North Forrest is ranked 234th, while Richton is ranked 231st). As for Collins, they will head out on the road to take on Mize at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
