The Los Altos Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 65-16 victory over Balboa. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-9.
Natalie Holm was her usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Holm also scored 15+ points for the first time this season. Ella McFarlane was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Los Altos' win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Balboa, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Los Altos and Menlo-Atherton will face off at 6:30 p.m. on December 11th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Menlo-Atherton has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Balboa, they will be playing in front of their home fans against International at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. International presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Balboa in California (International is ranked 342nd, while Balboa is ranked 1052nd).
