Northridge Academy and Reseda are an even 3-3 against one another since March of 2016, but likely not for long. The Pumas will head out on the road to challenge the Regents at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Reseda took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Northridge Academy, who comes in off a win.
Northridge Academy's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over East Valley. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Pumas have posted against the Falcons since May 3, 2019.

Jesse Caballero was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Northridge Academy is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 1-2 otherwise. Caballero was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last four times he's played.
In other batting news, Northridge Academy let Oscar Zamora Hernandez and Alan Garcia run wild. Zamora Hernandez went 1-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Garcia went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most RBI Zamora Hernandez has posted since back in April of 2025. Angel Solis also deserves some recognition as he scored his first runs of the season.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, Reseda was a bit more limited in their matchup on Wednesday. They came up short against Sherman Oaks CES, falling 13-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Regents were not able to get on the board.
The win made it two in a row for Northridge Academy and bumps their season record up to 4-2. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Reseda, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6.
Northridge Academy suffered a grim 11-1 defeat to Reseda in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Can the Pumas avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
