The Antelope Titans will head out on the road to face off against the McClatchy Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Antelope is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.
Antelope was handed a ten-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They skirted past Cordova 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Titans have posted since April 26, 2024.

Branden Medina looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since April 4th.
At the plate, Antelope's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Adrian Martinez, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.
McClatchy came out on top against Grant on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run second inning. The Lions' pitcher stepped up to hand the Pacers a 10-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won 13 matches by eight runs or more so far this season.
Antonio Barber was incredible, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with five stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Elias Ortega, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.
McClatchy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Antelope, they now have a winning record of 13-12.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Antelope has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like McClatchy struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 5.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Antelope skirted past McClatchy 3-1 when the teams last played on April 11th. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Titans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
